All ZTA Policies policies are available on this page. Please click on individual policies to download the file. There is a Code of Conduct that applies to everyone involved in the charity that sets out what is expected of trustees and volunteers. The Equal Opportunities Policy ensures that no one who works with us faces any discrimination on the grounds of race, beliefs or sexuality and that we treat everyone the same. The Safeguarding Policy protects any vulnerable children or adults we may come in contact with and we are required to have a Trustee who is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of this policy. We have other policies on whistleblowing, volunteers, payment of expenses and incidents. These policies are reviewed by the Board on a regular basis.
All charities in Scotland have to comply and operate in accordance with The Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005. It is registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, a form of charity unique to Scotland, and is governed according to the laws of Scotland. It has a constitution approved by OSCR, which sets out its charitable purposes and how it is to be run. OSCR has various legal powers over the charity and its trustees which are described in full on their website. More information about OSCR and the regulation of Scottish charities can be found at https://www.oscr.org.uk Every year the trustees have to submit an annual report and accounts to OSCR and all our reports are publicly available on the OSCR website. Just search for us by name or our charity number, SC045462.
